Yahoo just released 2 User Interface (UI) Libraries to help people build web 2.0 applications:

• Yahoo! User Interface Library (a JavaScript library for AJAX/Web 2.0 developement)
  
• Yahoo! Design Pattern Library (a repository of User Interface Best Practicies)
  

There are already several open source libraries avaialble for AJAX development so the most interesting thing about the announcement is the Design Pattern Library. This library is released under the Creative Commons Attribution-By license and the design patterns will also be posted on a new  Yahoo User Interface blog to facilitate conversations.

This is what I call leadership!
