Bernard Liautaud CEO and Co-founder of Business Object (BO) managed to hit the 1 billion dollar revenue target before to step down. Press release here.

While I personally think that BO has not doing anything interesting for a while, this was clearly one of the few successful French Software company with an international success. I saw Bernard at one of the DBF meetings and he quit impressed me with his enthusiasm and his "keep it human" qualities.
